Botanic Gardens
Botanic gardens are a special part of our work - with Victoria's wealth of regional botanic gardens and our experience at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria giving us the opportunity to work with over 15 botanic gardens across Victoria and Southern NSW. Our background in both horticulture and landscape architecture allows us to understand what makes these spaces special to all who use them, and to understand the unique challenges and management requirements that come with such spaces. So that our knowledge remains current, we are actively engaged in regional and world wide botanic gardens networks - and when the opportunity arises, visit botanic gardens across Australia and around the world.
Botanic gardens are often are a combination of heritage, horticulture and social spaces - beloved public gardens that are beautiful and central to local life. Increasingly they are also repositories of rare plant material and actively engaged in conservation of rare and threatened plant species. We aim to reflect this in our design work by creating dynamic, living landscapes which put plant collections and gardening front and center, while still engaging casual visitors. We get great enjoyment out of caring for these spaces - supporting horticultural excellence while designing new landscapes and gardens for the people who use them.
