Botanic Gardens
Botanic gardens are a special part of our work - with Victoria's wealth of regional botanic gardens and our experience at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria giving us the opportunity to work with over 23 botanic gardens across Victoria and NSW, including advising many more both in Australia and internationally. Our background in both horticulture and landscape architecture allows us to understand what makes these spaces special to all who use them, their scientific work. and to understand their unique challenges and management requirements. We are actively engaged in regional and world wide botanic gardens networks - and when the opportunity arises, visit botanic gardens across Australia and around the world.
Botanic gardens are a combination of conservation, horticulture, heritage and social spaces - beloved public gardens that are beautiful and central to local life. Increasingly they are also repositories of rare plant material and actively engaged in conservation of rare and threatened plant species. We aim to reflect this in our design work by creating dynamic, living landscapes which put plant collections and gardening front and centre, while still engaging casual visitors. We have great enjoyment in caring for these spaces - supporting horticultural excellence while designing new landscapes and gardens for the people who use them.
